Tuesday, April 16th at 11 am ET/8 am PT Ms. Seoyoung Lee Preliminary results of pleasant pain through deep pressure on myofascial trigger points. Seoyoung Lee is a PhD student at the University of Oslo in the field of neuroscience and pain. Before pursuing her master's degree, she briefly worked as a Korean medicine doctor in a pain clinic. During this period she gained interest in non-specific effects in pain relief interventions. She started her master's studies based on these interests, studying the analgesic effects of open-label placebos and the unique pleasant pain experienced during massage and acupuncture sessions. Currently, she is working on implementing Pain Reprocessing Therapy for chronic widespread pain patients at the Oslo University Hospital, Department of Radiology & Nuclear Medicine.
